Identity Fabric Workshop

A vendor-agnostic one-day workshop that maps your identity landscape across workforce, customer, privileged and non-human identities and AI agents, with prioritised risks and an 18–24 month roadmap.

Solution overview

The Identity Fabric Workshop brings your key stakeholders together to decide which identity initiatives come first and why. Together, we assess the relevant identity domains, identify material risks and gaps, and agree on three to five priorities. A roadmap for the next 18 to 24 months and an executive summary give management a documented basis for the next investment decision. The engagement includes preparation, a one-day workshop and consolidation of the documentation afterward.

Your business needs

Agree on what comes first across your identity landscape

Fragmented ownership

Identity processes and technologies have grown across separate teams. There is no shared view of how governance, authentication, authorization, lifecycle management and monitoring work together.

Competing initiatives

IGA, PAM, CIAM and other identity initiatives compete for budget. Without common priorities, it is difficult to decide which risks to address first and how the initiatives depend on one another.

Investment decisions

Management needs a roadmap before approving the next identity investment. Audit findings, transformation programs or identity incidents add pressure to agree on a direction.

Who this is for

Bring the people responsible for identity into one conversation

For medium and large organizations with a complex identity landscape and several open initiatives, but no agreed priorities or roadmap for management.

CISO / CIO

A documented basis for deciding which identity initiatives to fund, with agreed priorities and a recommended first initiative.

IAM owners / Enterprise architect

A shared view of the relevant identity domains, their gaps and dependencies, bringing individual initiatives into one program.

Security / GRC / Business units

An opportunity to assess risks together, agree on priorities and assign owners and first actions to the initiatives.

Our deliverables

A shared plan for your next identity investment

The deliverables document your current state, explain the priorities and define what comes next. The top priorities and a draft executive summary are established on the workshop day. The consolidated documentation follows afterward.

  • Executive summary — A summary for your leadership team covering the starting position, the main priorities, the recommended first initiative and the decision required.
  • Risk heatmap — A risk rating using the SECURIX scoring model for credential hygiene, lifecycle, age and entitlements. Critical results are flagged.
  • 18–24 Month Roadmap — A phased roadmap showing the sequence of initiatives and the enablers needed to support them.
  • Assessment report — A maturity rating for the identity areas reviewed, with the reasoning behind each result.
  • Initiative portfolio — Initiatives with scope, dependencies, responsibilities and first steps.

  • Technical architecture reviews and detailed designs
  • Technology selection and configuration reviews
  • Compliance Audit
  • Implementation and detailed project planning
  • A deeper analysis of individual identity areas

How we deliver

From a shared assessment to agreed priorities

  1. We agree on objectives, participants and the identity domains to assess. A pre-questionnaire captures your main concerns, existing tools, applicable regulations and active initiatives.

  2. Together, we assess the selected identity domains and establish a shared view of existing capabilities, processes and ownership.

  3. We identify maturity gaps, security risks and compliance exposure to establish the most important priorities.

  4. We define initiatives for the top three to five priorities, consider dependencies and feasibility, and assign owners and first actions.

  5. We arrange the initiatives and their enablers into a phased roadmap for the next 18 to 24 months.

  6. We draft the executive summary with you during the workshop and agree on the recommended first initiative. The documentation is consolidated afterward.

Identity Fabric

One shared view across your identity landscape

The Identity Fabric model treats identity as an integrated set of capabilities across people, partners, machines and AI agents. In the workshop, we use four questions to examine how those capabilities work together across the identity domains relevant to your organization.

Administration

Who has access, and why?

Authentication

Are they who they claim to be?

Authorization

What are they allowed to do?

Analytics

Can we prove what happened?

Relevant domains can include workforce identity, customer identity, privileged access, partner and third-party access, non-human identities including AI agents, IT/OT, authentication and SSO, identity threat detection (ITDR), audit and reporting, and governance and operating model.

The domains are selected during preparation so the workshop focuses on the areas most relevant to your organization.

Frequently asked questions

Before your consulting engagement begins

Representatives from IAM, Security and GRC need to attend. IT Architecture, IT Operations, application owners and business stakeholders participate according to the agreed scope. A management sponsor must be identified to receive the executive summary.

Complete the pre-questionnaire at least five working days before the workshop. It covers your main identity concerns, applicable regulations, existing tools, active initiatives and key stakeholders. Your answers help determine which identity domains we assess.

You will have three to five agreed priorities, a draft executive summary and a recommended first initiative. Each priority has an owner and a first action. The assessment report, risk register, initiative portfolio and roadmap are consolidated afterward.
